At a time where binge-watching shows could be considered a national sport (we’d be clear frontrunners, d’uh!) Netflix has released the top shows we like to #NetflixAndBinge.
Examining Netflix users' global viewing habits, the data revealed that subscribers watch a little over two hours a day to complete a season (whoa, that’s a whole lot of Gossip Girl, TBH).
According to The Netflix Binge Scale (yep, this is officially a thing), thrillers, horrors and sci-fi shows are the ones we like to kick back to with a bowl of Doritos and dip (weirdly enough). On the flip side of the scale, political dramas, historial dramas and superhero dramas are the quickie shows we have visual "one night stands with" (which surprises us because superheroes = buff babes = Chris Hemsworth = happiness).
And whilst shows such as Breaking Bad, Dexter and The Walking Dead top our list of guilty Netflix pleasures, the study shows Orange Is The New Black tops the most-watched list.
Studies show the more than half (53%) of Orange viewers have re-watched at least one full season of the acclaimed series since its debut in 2013. Of viewers polled, nearly a quarter (21%) plan to re-watch the previous season while 41% plan to re-watch the entire series - all 36 episodes. They’re eager to serve their time too with 54% planning to re-watch this weekend or sooner, and fans are even willing to give-up making their bed (30%), cleaning the house (36%) and cooking (10%) in order to have more time to watch .
And the most re-watched episodes?
Season 1: Episode 1 - “I wasn’t ready”
Season 2: Episode 11 - “Take a break from your values
Season 3: Episode 11 - “We can be heroes”
Sheesh! If we keep going like this, we'll have crazier eyes than Crazy Eyes.
