Ya fave budget airline Tigerair has cancelled all flights to Bali after failing to comply with new administrative rules imposed by the Indonesian Government. But what about all the ladz about to go on tour?! Well, they're sadly semi-screwed for the meantime.
"Tigerair is working with the relevant Indonesian authorities to meet the new requirements and is hopeful of having flights up and running again as soon as possible," the airline said in a statement.
“Tigerair is contacting passengers affected by today’s cancellations to provide accommodation options to ensure customers are supported during this disruption. Tigerair Australia sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused by today’s cancellations,” the airline said.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the airline has said it was in compliance with all original conditions and that they received no notice of the rules change.
Domestic flights have not been affected, but it is unknown at this point if Australian's currently in Bali will be able to fly home on the airline. Tiger has been contacting those affected by the sudden cancellations, but is urging customers to use the website for info.
No news yet on when (if ever) the airline will resume it's Australia to Bali service, but we'll keep you posted. If you're reading this, we hope you're not one of the unlucky lads!
