The folks at Sony HQ just announced a Crash Bandicoot reboot.
It’s the game we played almost religiously during school holidays! We willingly chained eyeballs to our TVs, and admittedly only gave siblings a turn when we were absolutely desperate to pee or rush into the kitchen and grab a packet of chips, but now old mate Bandicoot is popping his sneakers back on and crashing back out of retirement as he heads back into our cyber-adoring lives.
During a gaming conference in Los Angeles recently, Sony let it be known that they were partnering with Activision (the peeps that currently own the rights to the game) to release a remastered HD version of the original trilogy – Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped – for PlayStation 4.
Meanwhile, after news hit, fans all over the Twitterverse reacted happily, rightfully so.
An official release date is yet to be announced, but TBH we’ll be sure to jump right onto it as soon as any info is available.
Meanwhile, we’ll just bring out the old PS1 and reminisce on the OG greatness of it all! 🎮🔥😍
