Pop the Veuve you guys, Real Housewives of Sydney is officially a go!
While we were enjoying a block of tasty cheese with jatz and sipping on a box of wine this weekend, the rich and fabulous women of Sydney were enjoying their luxe lives and, if they were lucky, auditioning for Real Housewives of Sydney.
Arena and Foxtel aired the world's shortest teaser trailer this morning, confirming the show is slated to start in 2017. This means (everybody hold onto your glittered clutches) they are holding auditions in Sydney RIGHT NOW!
That's right. A whole new brood of lush housewives are fighting it out as we speak. Here's hoping we can find a Chyka 2.0 to grace our screens, since the original has up and left us all to focus on her Martha Stewart-style business. We're not bitter at all, Chyks.
Talk has already begun over what kind of champagne-sculling gal's we can expect to see on the sophisticated new show.
Christa Billich, who appeared as a guest on Real Housewives of Melbourne, is among those rumoured to be joining the cast. The potential "Housewife" is married to controversial artist, Charles Billich.
Christa spoke with The Daily Telegraph about her potential role saying, “I would love to do it because I think I can show my other side. People think I’m gentle and soft but I do have a side of me that is perfect for the Housewives. As we know, bitches are made, not born, and I can be a bitch.”
The Daily Telegraph also spoke to contender Gordana Willesee-Poljak, a make-up and cosmetic tattooist who used to be married to Mike Willesee.
"I'm considering it," she said, "If the opportunity has come to me, it has come to me for a reason and I think it could be a fantastic random opportunity to help me live an even straighter life because I'll be on the show.
Another gal reportedly joining RHOS is hairdresser Joh Bailey's business partner, Marilyn Koch.
AHHH!!! We are keen AF for all the fights... we mean all the glamour.
Though RHOS doesn't have quite the same feel as RHOM (TBH the phrase is just making us picture Ross from Friends), we're going to put our qualms aside and revel in all the ridiculousness sure to come! Here's hoping these girls are just as dramatic as our Melbourne babes.
Check out the trailer here (WARNING: It's literally just the harbour).
