Just like that iconic episode of Friends where Ross laminates a list of potential celebrity free passes, Robert Downey Jr. (RDJ) has announced his ‘free pass’ is with on screen beau Gwyneth Paltrow.
Any normal person would be questioning his morals after making this announcement (as he is married). But not to worry – his wife 100% approves!
In an interview with American shock jock Howard Stern, the 51-year-old stated “My free pass is – because her and Susan are such good friends – is Paltrow.”
Paltrow and RDJ are known for there on screen romance in the first three Iron Man movies. Even though Paltrow doesn’t make an appearance in the latest MCU movie, RDJ has said that it doesn’t mean she’s gone for good.
“She’s coming back,” he said. “We need her.”
Stern then, of course, cautiously asked Downy if a fling with Paltrow would make his wife jealous. Downey was quick to respond with wife, Susan’s response, “She could care less.”
His wife is probably a lot calmer than most as his ‘free pass’ only applies when the camera is rolling.
Wife, Susan, has nothing to worry about though as RDJ confidently stated that he isn’t interested in cashing in on his wife’s offer. “I’m very happily married,” (NAAWWWW).
RDJ was also in New York for the screening for the latest MCU movie, Captain America: Civil War, which is in theatres now.
