Does size really matter? Maybe. The shape, however, definitely does. Especially when it comes to veggies.
The Internet is a weird and wonderful place, and we thought we’d seen it all, but when we came across a New Zealand man who took to a bidding website TradeMe.co.nz, to sell a single, penis-shaped eggplant, which he openly called an “erotic eggplant” for more than $100, we couldn’t stop lolling.
On a more serious note, the seller writes, “For Sale, a freshly picked phallic aubergine. Totally organic, satisfaction guaranteed. All proceeds to charity.”
At the moment, the bid has reached $102 and the auction doesn't end until Saturday. So, perhaps the charities will be pleased with an enlarged payment. As will the owners of the massive male genitalia-like vegetable.
The man, who asked not to be named, is selling the penis-shaped vegetable on behalf of his dad, who grew it at his home in Waikato.
"He thought it was hilarious, and my wife and I found it pretty funny, too," the seller told The New Zealand Herald. "It was a happy coincidence that the eggplant had that shape."
The lister plans to donate funds from the sale to the New Zealand Prostate Cancer Foundation, in honour of a family friend who recently past away after suffering from the disease. Sounds like a sweet gesture to us. Definitely no dicky moves here.
