McDonald's keep teasing us with changes to their menu and it is not going unnoticed.
This time McDonald's is experimenting on its famous french fries, and we are all in favour. Last year they tested sweet potato fries but now they are trying out garlic!
Don’t worry about the breath implications... these fries look more than worth it.
According to McDonald’s,
“The new fries are made-to-order in McDonald’s kitchens where restaurant employees toss French fries in stainless steel bowls with a purée mix that includes ingredients such as chopped Gilroy garlic and olive oil, parmesan cheese, parsley and a pinch of salt."
Unfortunately every silver lining has its cloud. McDonald's is currently only trialing the new fries in San Francisco area.
The inspiration comes from a city called Gilroy, which is south of San Fran. It is commonly known as the garlic capital of the world because it is where a lot of American garlic is grown.
The whole area actually seems obsessed with garlic. Even AT&T Park in San Fran serves up garlic fries.
But seriously, FYI Ronald McDonald, Californians aren’t the only ones that would appreciate garlic fries.
We'd like some too...plz.
