Kanye West's latest attempt to be totes high farshun has come under fire for MANY reasons.
The rapper debuted his latest spanx collection for Target, we mean his Yeezy Season 4 show, at New York Fashion Week today.
First up, he herded fashion icons, celebrities and important media figures to his show on a one-hour bus ride that basically looked like a Contiki trip but without the excessive booze. Blah.
Then, it turned out his show was taking place at a Smallpox Memorial Hospital on Roosevelt Island and the runway was basically just a glorified park. Like, it was leafy, but it's safe to say the ~trendy~ guests were NOT impressed.
When they eventually made it in, there was just a whole LOAD of stunning models wearing lycra in various neutral shades, standing around looking super possessed like zombies in a horror movie. But, really pretty zombies.
And then they had to wait (as did the poor models) for over an hour until the Kardashian clan showed up.
The heat of the sun, combined with hours of standing without water and food, proved detrimental to the success of the show.
New York Times fashion director Vanessa Friedman tweeted about exhausted models crouching down on the ground, while Stella Bugbee the editorial director of The Cut tweeted: "Model passed out in the heat is given water by man in the audience but no one on the #YeezySeason4 team helps," and followed up with the rest of the drama.
Even the shoes at the show proved so difficult that model Amina Blue ripped hers off on the runway.
Fashion editors spotted leaving halfway through, models ditching the runway for water. Not exactly a smash hit... but here we are all talking about it.
The whole thing seemed like a massive screw up, but as Yeezy took his victory lap it was smiles all around!
