The national post service recently announced some changes that could end up costing you quite a bit!
The changes, effective from August 1st, mean that your undelivered parcels would be stored for up to 30 days at your local post office. Great news right?
Well the service will no longer be 100% free.
A fee of $3 will be incurred on collections after 5 days, with $3 added every week there after.
The company did however make the following statement,
''Most customers want to pick up their parcel quickly, with 92 per cent of parcels collected within five days''
''we believe this service will help the small amount of customers who can't collect their parcel straight away.''
The company is also open to feedback. If people do not like the idea then they have said they will drop it. It seems the company is just looking for a way to make up for the $222 million loss it made last year.
