If this isn't proof that the world is coming to a bitter end then we don't know what is! Because M&M McFlurries could soon be a thing for the history books. 😱
CUE MCFLURRY MELTDOWN!
Yes, you heard right! Confectionary maker Mars is considering taking it's M&Ms out of McDonald's McFlurries, therefore stripping us of the ability to delight in one of the delicious bad boys.
According to an industry source, Mars is concerned about the amount of sugar in desserts that feature their tasty little M&Ms.
M&Ms apparently add 7.5 teaspoons of sugar, which is almost a third of the amount of sugar in a full McFlurry, exceeding the daily government recommendation, and apparently Mars isn't happy about that.
They've made it public knowledge that they want to limit sugar in their products to meet leading health organisation's guidelines.
Well, they might please the health authorities, but they aren't pleasing maccas lovers, who have already started airing their grievances via Twitter.
If you love a late night M&M McFlurry, get onto it now! NOW! That is, if the ice cream machine is even working...
