If you love Disney AND theme parks as much as we do (um, hello are you human?) then this news is literally going to make you froth with excitement. FROTH WE SAY!
Disneyland have revealed the first look at their new Guardians Of The Galaxy ride and It. Is. Lit.
The theme park is moving forward with their plans to design the first Marvel Universe ride within one of their famous parks, but the new ride won't be without it's controversy.
It will be built on the existing site of the Hollywood Tower Hotel in Disney California Adventure Park, AKA the scariest/best ride there is.
While some fans are reeling over the news, it is a fair enough change tbh. The ride is currently based on The Twilight Zone, which most kids attending the park probs haven't heard of, and the special effects are average at best. Let's be honest, the only reason to hop on is the stomach-dropping moment you fall... and that feature is sticking around!
The Collector’s Fortress (as the building is now going to be called) will keep the existing structure of the building, according to Disney's Blog.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will combine "the familiar, breathtaking free-fall sensation with all-new visual and audio effects, including music inspired by the popular film soundtrack. Guests will experience a variety of randomized ride experiences, so you never know which adventure you will get!"
So bid farewell to this...
