The gods have blessed us all as Beyoncé was just given her very own holiday! Or, rather, the Governor of Minnesota has blessed us.
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton declared that Monday, May 23, will forever more be known as ‘Beyoncé Day.’
"Beyoncé has influenced many Minnesota girls and women with the powerful, positive messages in her music,” Dayton said, “and her impact and success have been widely-recognized.”
The annual holiday will mark the day Bey took her Formation world tour to Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium on Monday.
Her first ‘Bey Day’ performance didn’t go without it’s hiccups, though, as the stadium was temporarily evacuated due to a rainstorm before it began at 9:30p.m.
The official new holiday has already passed, but who knows? Maybe Australia can get it’s very own public holiday for the true Queen one day soon. Seriously, look at her! Girl is majestic as all hell! 🙌
