Let’s be honest – we’ve all done some pretty strange things in achieving the perfect contour.
Now, blogger extraordinaire Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty has debuted a totally novel way to sculpt killer cheekbones using your old school stationery supplies! #whatdafug
And whilst a 30cm ruler might not fit into the average makeup kit, Huda says the trusty tool is the perfect secret to symmetrical contour. Who are we to argue with 13 million Insta-followers, right?
Huda captioned the Insta-vid: "I started measuring my contour a while back because I noticed the asymmetry in my face from sleeping on one side of my face for years. I don't do this all the time, but when I have major shoots and I know the camera picks up on things we don't see in person, I do this".
Ok, so your actual contour can't solely be completed with that of a 30cm ruler. According to Napoleon Perdis' Global Makeup Artist Team, a good contour kit is an absolute necessity when creating the perfect complexion (oh, and for bringing harmony to the face).
"Up your contour game with a Matt Bronzer, the ultimate 2-in-1 product. The matte texture helps smooth the appearance of the skin, while the colour contours and adds warmth to the face".
Huda's ruler trick has sparked a major trend on social, with more and more beauty bloggers digging into their stationary cupboards for makeup tutorials of their own.
Please excuse us whilst we spend millions of dollars in the stationary aisle down at our local, guys.
