George Clooney is a pretty busy dude. He's currently attending the United Nations General Assembly with his his wife, international human rights lawyer and total badass Amal Clooney.
The actor joined President Obama for a round-table of CEO's who are pledging money to help fight the Syrian refugee crisis. Afterwards, he appeared in an interview with CNN, and a reporter asked for his opinion on the all-important Brangelina split. It was ~gloriously~ awkward.
George looked truly shocked to learn that his best mate Brad Pitt had split from wife Angelina Jolie. ICYMI the actress filed for divorce from Brad, amid rumours of substance abuse and infidelity. Heavy stuff.
In the sudden decision to split (Ange and Brad only separated on the 15th of September, and filed papers Monday) they obviously didn't have time to fill in many friends. That, or he's just really getting among the whole "humanitarian" thing, and probably hasn't had time to pick up a copy of US Weekly today.
A CNN reporter tried to ask George for his opinion, and the actor simply said: "I didn't know that."
Then he started throwing around the words "sad" and "family" about 76 times. Okay, we're being dramatic. But the whole thing is one big, uncomfortable mess...
We actually feel sorry for the poor dude! He did a pretty solid job of recovering on camera. Maybe next time stick to asking him about the important work he's doing with the UN? Especially when, you know, he's actually there for that purpose.
Regardless, love is dead. Time to mourn.
