If you haven’t mastered the contour-strobe-wingardium-leviosa tutorial just yet, turn away.
The geniuses of the beauty world have come up with yet another trend for you to master (read: Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, did something else ridiculous). This time it’s sandbagging. Yes, you read that correctly.
Sandbagging sounds more like a NSFW bedroom act than a makeup trend, but it’s actually a really simple technique used to achieve a smooth, matte finish.
Sandbagging is all about caking on your makeup and sopping up that oil – TBH I’m pretty sure this goes against everything we’ve been told all our lives, but whatever. #cakeface here we come.
All you need to do is dip a sponge in powder and press over your foundation, focusing on the area from your chin to lower cheeks, and under your eyes. Once the powder is applied you wait a few minutes for it to set.
Make a phone call, check your Instagram, whatever. Just make sure you remember to blend it in before you leave the house.
